Our senior management team take a personal involvement in all projects, we meet our clients regularly and we are always available to discuss their projects with them.

We are based in Loughrea, Co. Galway. Our location enables us to easily access projects across Galway and the Mid West region to Shannon. We are a short drive from the midlands and can also service suitably sized projects in Dublin and on the East coast.

Shane Egan – Managing Director

Shane established SECON Building Contractors in 2005.   Following a background in carpentry, Shane has spent most of his career creating a company in SECON that has a reputation for delivering high quality and successful construction projects.  At the forefront of the company and involved in every project, Shane is committed to ensuring SECON creates long lasting relationships with our clients and consultant teams.  The company has a broad portfolio of projects that speak volumes for Shane, he is happy to share his experience and knowledge with our prospective and new clients into the future.

Lorcan Doyle – Commercial Manager

Lorcan Doyle has been working as an associate of Shane Egan since 2017 and finally joined SECON permanently in 2019.  Lorcan is a Quantity Surveyor having graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and Economics from Dublin Institute of Technology in 2006.  Prior to joining SECON, Lorcan was head of the surveying department for a UK based construction company working in the prime residential market in London, Oxford and The Cotswolds.  Lorcan has experience of estimating, tendering value engineering, procurement and cost control on construction projects up to €20m in value – he is very aware that price alone does not determine the success of a construction project and that genuine collaboration with the client, architect, engineers and consultant team is the key to success.
